Road Closures Announced Ahead Of Two Hershey Concerts

Foo Fighters and Journey concert in Hersheypark to cause temporary road closures

Friday and Saturday

Derry Township Police have announced road closures for two upcoming concerts on Aug. 26 and 27 at Hersheypark Stadium. The closures go from 2 p.m. to midnight both Friday and Saturday. All events on Saturday, Aug. 27, will take place as scheduled, including the Hersheypark Happy Hauntings.

Friday, Aug. 26

Park Avenue: Closed to through traffic from Walton Avenue to Arena Drive beginning at 2 p.m. Local access only. No parking will be permitted on Park Avenue within this closure area.

Arena Drive: Closed from Park Avenue to Hersheypark Drive beginning at 2 p.m. Arena Drive will remain open for Hersheypark guests with event tickets only. No parking will be permitted on Arena Drive within this closure area.

Saturday, Aug. 27

Park Avenue: Closed to through traffic between Walton Avenue and Arena Drive from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and then again from 6:30 p.m. to midnight. Local access only. No parking will be permitted on Park Avenue within this closure area.

Arena Drive: Closed from Park Avenue to Hersheypark Drive beginning at 11 a.m. Arena Drive will remain open for Hersheypark guests with park tickets only. No parking will be permitted on Arena Drive within this closure area.

Police said delays should be expected and alternate routes should be considered. Message boards will be in place to provide directional assistance.
