Be Aware of Phishing Scams

Before sharing sensitive or personal information online, make sure you're on an official state website. Phishing scams are fraudulent emails or websites that mimic legitimate entities to trick you into providing your personal information. If you receive a suspicious email or link, do not click on it and report it to the Georgia Secretary of State.

Verify Official State Websites

To verify that a website is official, call 1-800-GEORGIA or visit the state's official website at www.georgia.gov. Official state websites will have a ".gov" domain and will display the official seal of the state.
