Zachary David Alexander Efron was born on October 18, 1987, in San Luis Obispo, California. His parents are David Efron, an electrical engineer, and Starla Baskett, a secretary.

Acting Career

Efron began his acting career in the early 2000s, appearing in minor roles on television shows and films. In 2006, he rose to fame for his role as Troy Bolton in the Disney Channel original movie "High School Musical."

After the success of "High School Musical," Efron starred in several other Disney Channel movies and television series. He also appeared in a number of feature films, including "17 Again" (2009), "The Lucky One" (2012), and "Neighbors" (2014).

In recent years, Efron has transitioned to more adult roles. He has starred in films such as "Baywatch" (2017), "The Greatest Showman" (2017), and "Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile" (2019).
