Juventus fires Massimiliano Allegri as manager
Allegri's tenure at Juventus comes to an end
Juventus has fired manager Massimiliano Allegri, the club announced on Friday. The decision comes after Juventus's 1-1 draw with Atalanta in the Coppa Italia final on Wednesday, which saw the Bianconeri lose on penalties.
Allegri's exit marks the end of a successful era for Juventus
Allegri, who joined Juventus in 2014, led the club to five Serie A titles, four Coppa Italia titles, and two Champions League finals. However, Juventus has struggled this season, finishing fourth in Serie A and being knocked out of the Champions League in the round of 16.
Allegri's departure is the latest in a series of changes at Juventus, which has also seen the club's president, Andrea Agnelli, and sporting director, Fabio Paratici, resign in recent weeks.
