Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom Welcome Baby Girl, Daisy Dove Bloom
First Child for Perry, Second for Bloom
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have welcomed their first child together, a baby girl named Daisy Dove Bloom. The couple announced the birth on their Instagram accounts on August 27, 2020.
"We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter," they wrote. "But we know we're the lucky ones and not everyone can have a birthing experience as peaceful as ours was."
Perry, 39, and Bloom, 46, got engaged in February 2019. This is the first child for Perry and the second for Bloom, who also shares a 9-year-old son, Flynn Christopher, with his ex-wife, Miranda Kerr.
The couple has been very private about their pregnancy, but they did share a few photos of Perry's baby bump on social media. They also revealed the baby's gender in a video on YouTube in April 2020.
Daisy Dove Bloom is a beautiful name with a lot of meaning. Daisy is a type of flower that is often associated with innocence and purity. Dove is a symbol of peace and love. The name Bloom is a reference to Orlando Bloom's last name.
