Miami Heat Vs Celtics

Live Coverage: Heat Defeat Celtics in Game 7, Advance to NBA Finals

The Miami Heat have clinched a spot in the NBA Finals after a thrilling Game 7 victory over the Boston Celtics on Monday night. The Heat's 100-96 win marks their second trip to the championship series in three years.

The Celtics, who held a 3-2 series lead heading into Game 7, fought valiantly but ultimately came up short. Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 27 points, followed by Jaylen Brown's 24 points and Marcus Smart's 20 points.

However, it was Caleb Martin who stole the show for the Heat. Martin, a 6'5" forward, poured in a career-high 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, shooting an impressive 68% from the field. His performance was a major factor in the Heat's victory.

The Heat also received key contributions from Jimmy Butler, who finished with 17 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists, and Bam Adebayo, who added 14 points and 16 rebounds. The Heat's defense was also stout, holding the Celtics to just 38.7% shooting from the field.

With the victory, the Heat advance to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2020. They will face either the Golden State Warriors or the Dallas Mavericks, who are currently tied 3-3 in their Western Conference Finals series.

Game 1 of the NBA Finals is scheduled for Thursday, June 2, in Miami.
